Re-elected

On November 8, 2022, the voters of Weston spoke and re-elected both incumbent City Commissioners to office for a second four-year term.

City Commissioner Byron L. Jaffe and City Commissioner Mary Molina-Macfie will each maintain their respective seats on the Weston City Commission.  They will be sworn into office for their second term on November 21, 2022 and serve until November 2026.

We congratulate not only Commissioner’s Jaffe and Molina-Macfie, but each candidate who ran for office.  Running for elected office takes great personal strength and stamina and is a huge civic and personal commitment.

Find more information about Commissioner Jaffe and Commissioner Molina-Macfie here.

The City of Weston has term limits: The Mayor and Commission are limited to serve two consecutive four-year terms.   An individual can once again become a candidate after having not served in that elected seat for one full term.  A Commissioner that has served two consecutive terms is still eligible to run for the position of Mayor immediately following his/her term.  Likewise, a Mayor having served two consecutive terms may be a candidate for Commissioner immediately following his/her Mayoral term.
