The Town of Davie’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department will be hosting three Halloween events throughout October, including a Movie in the Park, Nights of Fright Haunted House and Halloween Happenings.

Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022: Movie in the Park 

Join us at the Bamford Sports Complex’s Padre and Mariner field for a free Movie in the Park event featuring the MGM animated film “The Addams Family 2” starting at 8 p.m. Gates will open early at 7 p.m. for guests to secure their spots and purchase items from the onsite food trucks.

Seating areas are on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Coolers and pets are not allowed.

Attendees should enter through the park’s main entrance off Pine Island Road. Free parking will be available throughout the park. 

Oct. 27, 28 and 29: Nights of Fright Haunted House

The Town of Davie, in partnership with the South Florida Cloggers, will host a Nights of Fright Haunted House event on Oct. 27, 28 and 29, 2022, from 7 to 10 p.m. This indoor event will take place at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center at 3801 S. Pine Island Road.  

Tickets will provide access to live DJ entertainment, vendor booths and food and beverages will be available for purchase. Proceeds will help the local South Florida Cloggers dance team raise money to attend competitions. 

Tickets are on sale for $20 per person and can be purchased at the door or online at www.davie-fl.gov/HauntedHouse.  

Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022: Halloween Happenings 

The annual Halloween Happenings event will be held at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds at 4201 Rodeo Way and will occur from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

A host of free family-friendly activities, including costume contests, live performances, train rides, inflatable rides, a DJ, Encanto character meet and greet and more will be available for all to enjoy. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase.  

The costume contest is open to individuals of all ages and will commence at 11:30 a.m. Those interested in attending are encouraged to come early to sign up. Registration will close at 11:15 a.m. Prizes for the contest will be awarded to participants in different age groups and categories. The annual horse costume contest will commence at 11:15 a.m. Pre-registration is required. Horse owners must call 954-797-1181 for more information and to register.
