Town of Davie 2023 Solid Waste Service Guide is Available Online

Town of Davie 2023 Solid Waste Service Guide is Available Online

The Town of Davie’s 2023 residential solid waste guide is now available online at www.davie-fl.gov/SolidWasteGuide. The brochure outlines the curbside garbage guidelines, service days, bulk collection dates, commercial and construction and demolition information.

There are no significant operational changes for 2023 and the guide is meant to be used as a reference tool.

Curbside Garbage Collection Schedule

Curbside garbage collection occurs twice per week between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Residential curbside collection depends on whether you live in the designated West, Central or East zone according to the Town’s solid waste maps (see links below).

West (west of Flamingo Road)

  • Mondays and Thursdays

Central (Flamingo Road to Pine Island Road)

  • Tuesdays and Fridays

East (east of Pine Island Road)

  • Wednesdays and Saturdays

2023 Bulk Schedule

Residential curbside bulk pickup occurs once per month between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Please refer to the respective West, Central or East maps to determine your zone’s service dates. Residents can also determine their bulk collection days using the “Find Your Bulk Trash Date” feature on the Town’s website.

Condo/Multifamily buildings with dumpsters receive bulk pickup quarterly. The pickup schedule for these individuals is as follows:

  • Feb. 2-4, 2023 - Items must be placed in the designated area by February 1, 2023
  • May 4-6, 2023 - Items must be placed in the designated area by May 3, 2023
  • Aug. 3-5, 2023 - Items must be placed in the designated area by August 2, 2023
  • Nov. 2-4, 2023 - Items must be placed in the designated area by November 1, 2023

Please note that there will be no solid waste services provided on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day 2023. For residents scheduled to receive garbage pickup on these dates, the garbage for the impacted area will be picked on the next regularly scheduled date. Residents impacted by these blackout dates should refer to the respective map for the rescheduled bulk dates.

2023 Shred-A-Thon Events

The Town will host three free shred-a-thon and prescription drug drop-off events for Davie residents. The events will take place on:

  • March 18, 2023 – Pine Island Park, 3801 S. Pine Island Road from 9 a.m. to noon
  • July 16, 2023 – Pine Island Park, 3801 S. Pine Island Road, from 9 a.m. to noon
  • November 4, 2023 – Shenandoah Park, 14452 Shenandoah Parkway, from 9 a.m. to noon

As a reminder, Davie residents can utilize the Broward County Residential Drop-off Centers for Household Hazardous Waste (HHW), electronics recycling, residential bulk trash and yard waste disposal. While this service is free, residents must bring two proofs of residency. Acceptable forms of identification include a government-issued photo ID AND a document that shows your official Davie address such as a tax bill, TRIM notice, voter registration or utility bill.
