Town of Davie Thanksgiving Holiday Closures and Solid Waste Updates

No solid waste services on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24 

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the Town of Davie municipal offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25, 2022. Municipal offices will resume regular operation on Monday, Nov. 28, 2022.

Please take note of the following Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts facility closures and modified hours below. 

Thursday, November 24: 

  • Pine Island Fitness and Aquatic Center is closed.
  • Pine Island Multipurpose Center is closed. 
  • Programmed sports activities will not take place. 
  • All Town parks will be open from sunrise to sunset.  
Friday, November 25: 

  • Pine Island Fitness Center will be open from 5 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.
  • Pine Island Aquatic Center will be open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
  • Pine Island Multipurpose Center is closed. 
  • Programmed sports activities will not take place. 
  • All Town parks will be open from sunrise to sunset. 
Solid Waste Services

There will be no solid waste collection services on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, including bulk and garbage.  

Garbage Collection:

Residents scheduled for curbside garbage collection service on Nov. 24 will have their trash collected on the next regularly scheduled day, Monday, Nov. 28. Residents who receive weekly curbside garbage pickups on Tuesdays and Fridays (Central Map) are not impacted by this notice.

Bulk Pickup: 

Residents serviced based on the Zone 22 (East Map) bulk pickup schedule will receive collection service on Nov. 28, 2022. Zone 23 is not impacted by this notice and will receive bulk pickup on Friday, Nov. 25, 2022.
