City of Weston Volunteer Day at Markham Park
Students Earn Service Hours
On Saturday, December 3, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Markham Park will host City of Weston Volunteer Day to help rehabilitate our waterways in South Florida and help students earn service hours!
Register today as there is a cap at 1,000 volunteers. Volunteers will be tasked with picking up litter around shelters, lakes, and natural areas of the park. The goal is to help improve the natural beauty of the park for the native plants, the animals, and the people who visit the park daily.
The litter and pollution in our waterways directly impact the health of our communities by affecting our drinking water. Markham Park is working toward rehabilitating and restoring the natural resources of South Florida, as well as providing a great place for families to enjoy outdoor activities and the surrounding environment.
Anyone under 16 must be with an adult. Minimum age of five is recommended (with adult).
LOCATION:
