Jordan Fee Promoted to Men’s Basketball Associate Head Coach

2

A member of the Nova Southeastern men's basketball coaching staff since 2015, and a vital piece in the Sharks' two NCAA South Region titles in the last four years, former lead assistant Jordan Fee has officially been promoted to associate head coach.

"Nothing has been more challenging nor more rewarding than building this program alongside Coach Crutch and our amazing young men," said Fee. "While I'm appreciative of this title and acknowledgment, nothing changes our commitment to continuing our pursuit of being a championship-caliber program in every facet. Thank you to Coach Crutch, university administration and athletic administration. I couldn't be more excited for our future."

Alongside head coach Jim Crutchfield, Fee has helped elevate NSU into one of the premier programs in NCAA Division II. Since the start of the 2018-19 campaign, the Sharks have posted a combined overall record of 83-11, including marks of 53-7 in Sunshine State Conference play and 56-4 at home during that span. Outside of a canceled 2020 NCAA Tournament and a shut down 2020-21 season, NSU has reached the Elite Eight in each of the past two postseasons in which it has competed. As recently as 2021-22, the Sharks held the title as the nation's No. 1 team throughout February and March en route to capturing SSC regular season and tournament titles before hoisting the South Region trophy again on their home floor.

Off the court, Fee has also proven to be a successful recruiter, serving as the primary coach responsible for the signings of current NBA G League player Gerard Tarin, 2018 SSC Freshman of the Year Malik Hardy, 2019 All-SSC selection Mikkel Kolstad, as well as 2022 National Player of the Year Sekou Sylla and All-American RJ Sunahara, among others. With the recent promotion, the program's momentum doesn't appear as if it'll be slowing down any time soon.

"Everybody that is close to the NSU basketball program is aware of what a huge factor Jordan has been in the successes we have enjoyed," said Crutchfield, who coached Fee from 2010-12 while at West Liberty. "I feel the distinction of the title of Associate Head Coach is in great part recognition of that.

"In addition to being an outstanding coach on the court, both in practice sessions and on gameday, Jordan has proven himself as a great recruiter.

"There are so many things such as player academics, NCAA compliance, player housing, budgeting and scheduling that need to be addressed daily in a college basketball program. Jordan has been very effective in these areas and every other detail of the NSU basketball program. I think he has a great future in this business."

In 2018-19, Fee was recognized on the Under Armour 30-Under-30 Team and was also ranked No. 6 in CoachStat.net's Top-25 DII/DIII Assistant Coaches poll. He was later selected as one of Silver Waves Media's Top-50 Most Impactful Division II Assistant Coaches.
