County Offers Convenient Way to Pay Property Taxes

7

Broward County recently issued the following announcement.

Outdoor Tax Express Drop-Off service March 31

Property taxes must be paid by March 31, 2022 to avoid delinquency interest, fees and penalties. Broward County's Tax Collector's Office will again offer the Tax Express Drop-Off service for property tax payments on Thursday, March 31 from 10AM to 4PM outside the west entrance of the County's Main Governmental Center, 115 S. Andrews Ave., in Fort Lauderdale. This service allows taxpayers to avoid long lines inside the Main Governmental Center.

The west entrance can be accessed from the parking lot on Brickell Avenue. There will be signs to the Tax Express Drop-Off table, where County staff wearing official shirts and badges will be on hand to collect tax payments by check only, along with your current tax bill. Other payment methods can be found at Broward.org/RecordsTaxesTreasury.

To submit tax payments using the Tax Express Drop-Off service on March 31:

  • Payments must be made by check only (personal or certified), no cash or credit card payments can be made at the Tax Express Drop-Off. All checks must be in US funds, issued by a US bank account.
  • Payments must be for current 2021 tax bills only. No delinquent tax payments can be accepted.
  • You must have your 2021 current tax bill with you. Your bill will be stamped and returned to you as proof of your payment receipt.
  • Only full payment of the March amount due will be accepted. No partial payments can be accepted
Taxpayers without their tax bill, making payments by credit/debit card or cash, or making partial tax payments cannot use the Tax Express Drop-Off service.

For the fastest and most convenient way to pay your tax bill, visit broward.county-taxes.com to make an online payment by eCheck, credit or debit card. Payments by eCheck are free; payments by credit or debit card are charged an online convenience fee.

County tax payments can also be made at any Wells Fargo Bank in Broward County with a copy of your tax bill.
