45th Annual Broward County Waterway Cleanup

City of Fort Lauderdale issued the following announcement on Feb. 25.

The Broward County Waterway Cleanup, organized by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, is the county’s largest and longest-running environmental event. In 2021, more than 1,200 volunteers of all ages by land and 100 boats worked at more than 35 sites across Broward County to remove 25 tons of trash and debris from our inland waterways. This year’s Cleanup will be on Saturday, March 5th, 2022 starting at 9 a.m. You do not need a boat to participate! Choose from more than 30 sites across Broward County to volunteer at and help clean our community and waterways! Register today at https://waterwaycleanup.org/registration
