Florida Atlantic University will celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month with a series of events for students, staff and faculty beginning Friday, Oct. 1, through Sunday, Oct. 31 at its Boca Raton, Jupiter and Broward campuses. The events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
Each year, FAU observes National LGBTQ+ History Month by celebrating the history and contributions of our LGBTQ+ communities. The month is celebrated in October to coincide with National Coming Out Day on Oct. 11.
Catch Rays & Chill

Join SAVI & Program Board in designing suncatchers in support of LGBTQ+ History Month to be donated to the pride center. You will receive one service hour for completing two suncatchers, after the invitation to create your own fall landscape on a blank canvas. FAU’s 11th annual drag show exposes participants to drag culture and its history. This year, we are excited to host Aja from season nine of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and season three of “Allstars,” along with locally known artists to perform drag theatrically in an environment that promotes inclusion and awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ community.
