African American comic & sci-fi authors, illustrators and publishers
The Sci-Fi & Comic Convention (AARLCC-CON) will be premiering on YouTube from 10AM to 3PM on Saturday, October 2, with discussions among a diverse slate of local and regional African-American comic book and sci-fi authors, illustrators and publishers. The free program, suitable for all ages, is a signature event of the African American Research Library and Cultural Center (AARLCC), 2650 Sistrunk Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311, 954-357-6282.
This year, AARLCC-CON Volume 3, will feature award-winning screen writer and producer Rodney Barnes, returning to discuss his new comics Nightmare Blog, Killadelphia and more. Other special guests include Suyi Davies Okungbowa, the author of Son of the Storm; author C.L. Clark, who will be discussing her debut release, The Unbroken; and Namina Forna, author of The Gilded Ones.
The event will premiere on YouTube.com/c/browardcountylibrary.
