SHANNON HEARTY – WOMEN'S SOCCER

Hearty helped lead the Sharks to a 1-1 week following matches against both Florida Memorial and Barry. The senior earned her first shutout of the season, as NSU rolled past Florida Memorial by a final score of 7-0, before racking up a career-high eight saves in a tough defeat at Barry.

In three starts this season, Hearty has posted a 0.96 goals-against average.

MICHAEL LAWRENCE – MEN'S SOCCER

Lawrence didn't start the match, but he certainly provided the finishing touch, leading NSU to a 2-1, come-from-behind victory over SSC rival Barry last Tuesday. With the Sharks trailing for the first time all season, Lawrence earned a foul call in the box in the 65th minute, resulting in a Matty Cornish penalty kick conversion that drew the match even at 1-1. The Miramar, Fla. native would come up even bigger, though, in the game's final moments, settling a Cornish pass with one touch before turning and drilling a left-footed strike into the low, right corner of the goal for the eventual game-winner.

NSU is off to an unbeaten, 3-0-1 start to the season and up to No. 15 in the United Soccer Coaches national poll, the highest ranking for the program since 2007.

ELIZABETH PRICE – VOLLEYBALL

Price has led NSU all season, as the Sharks are currently 9-0 overall and 2-0 to start SSC play. This past week, Price tallied 14 kills and a 0.429 hitting percentage in a sweep against Lynn, and followed that performance with 18 kills in a thrilling, five-set victory over PBA.

Price and the Sharks are currently riding an NCAA Division II program-record, 15-match win streak, dating back to 2019, and are in the midst of the best start to a season in program history. Price currently leads NSU in kills with 111, averaging 4.11 kills-per-set.
