HOW IT HAPPENED:
The NSU offense produced plenty of scoring chances in the early going, yet was forced to wait until the 26:55 mark to get on the board when Mackenzie Ramey found the back of the net off a corner kick attempt by Louise Matsgard.
From there, the flood gates began to open. Just 4:09 later, it was Sydni Bostick's turn, hammering in a pass from Brianna Paige, before Paige added a goal of her own down the stretch of the first half to send the Sharks into the break comfortably ahead 3-0.
Dani Correa became the first NSU player to reach multiple goals on the season after tacking on in the 51st minute.
Lexy Santiago recorded her first career goal in the 66th minute.
The Sharks needed less than four minutes to cash in once again, as Olivia Graham joined in on the fun in the 69th minute.
Alyssa Schepker also registered the first goal of her young career, capping the NSU scoring in the 88th minute.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
The Sharks' seven goals are the most in a single game since they racked up 15 the last time they met the Lions back on Sept. 7, 2019.
NSU scored seven times Monday after netting a combined four goals in its first three matches combined.
STATS OF THE NIGHT:
The Sharks tallied 37 shots and nine corners in the effort, while preventing FMU from earning one in either statistical category.
Paige and Lily Truong each collected two assists apiece in the win.
