City of Sunrise issued the following announcement on Aug. 27.
During a special meeting of the City of Sunrise City Commission on Thursday, August 26th, the Mayor and Commissioners unanimously authorized our City leadership to develop a policy requiring masks for employees and members of the public while inside all City owned and leased facilities. The forthcoming policy will be displayed clearly on the City’s website and all applicable facilities. Pending the delivery of that official policy, we continue to strongly urge the use of masks in all City owned and leased facilities.
Please note that this policy will apply exclusively to buildings owned or leased by the City of Sunrise. Businesses in the City of Sunrise are not impacted. We continue our strong support of the business community in determining what is best for their employees and customers.
