The food distribution begins at 9 a.m. and lasts until all the boxes of food are given out. If you would like to volunteer to assist with Food Distribution Events, please call Oakland Park's Community Volunteer Corps at 954-630-4502.The cities of Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park, and Wilton Manors are partnering with Feeding South Florida to host weekly COVID-19 drive-thru food distribution events each Thursday from 9 a.m. until all of the boxes of food are given out at Mills Pond Park, located at 2201 NW 9 Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. 

Recipients must remain in their vehicles and will be instructed to open their trunk when volunteers are ready to load it. 

To access the event, enter Mills Pond Park from southbound NW 9 Avenue (Powerline Road).

The free event is intended to provide healthy and nutritious food to those who are most in need due to job loss, income loss, or the inability to cover their monthly expenses. Food will be distributed on a first come, first served basis to the first 1,000 vehicles with a limit of one box of food per vehicle.To learn more about this food giveaway, please call Oakland Park’s Coronavirus Call Center at 954-630-4335.
