Silver CARE

Connect to Resources. Engage in Social Activities. Benefit from Behavioral Health Counseling.

Silver CARE at Goodman Jewish Family Services of Broward County is a mindfulness-based, trauma-informed treatment program for adults 60+, who have experienced trauma, and their family caregivers. Participants’ biopsychosocial needs are assessed by clinicians. Treatment activities and plans are highly individualized with the latest innovations in wellness to empower participants to be their most active and vibrant selves.

Participants select their own combination of individual and group counseling sessions, quarterly social events, community health and wellness services, and self-directed learning activities and practices. Caregiver virtual support groups are offered weekly, while the adult support groups are monthly and take place in-person.

Features include:

Extended individual trauma sessions |  Direct personal guidance  |  Psychoeducational resources

Community wellness resources and referrals  |  Virtual caregiver support group

Whole-health/social activities  |  Financial assistance for food and transportation

All Silver CARE services are grant funded and no cost to participants.

The program is free and is for the entire community, regardless of race, ethnicity & religion.
