Sam Bennett has been named to Hockey Canada’s roster for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, according to an announcement made today in Sunrise, Florida. He will join forwards Brad Marchand and Sam Reinhart on the Canadian team.

Bennett, who is 29 years old, participated in three games at the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off. Bennett previously won gold with Canada at the 2013 IIHF U18 World Junior Championship, where he recorded seven points over seven games.

Several other current Florida Panthers players and staff have also been selected to represent their countries at the upcoming Olympics. The list of players includes Uvis Balinskis and Sandis Vilmanis for Latvia; Anton Lundell, Eetu Luostarinen, and Niko Mikkola for Finland; Gustav Forsling for Sweden; Matthew Tkachuk for the United States; as well as Sam Reinhart and Brad Marchand for Canada.

Among staff members attending are Bill Zito (Assistant General Manager – USA), Teddy Richards (Equipment Manager – USA), Tuomo Ruutu (Assistant Coach – Finland), Myles Fee (Video Coach – Sweden), and Jamie Kompon (Assistant Coach – Germany).
