The Florida Panthers have released their latest prospect report as the NHL nears its break, highlighting the progress of several young players in their development system.
Ben Steeves is experiencing a strong season in his second full year as a professional. The 23-year-old forward was recently named to the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic and currently shares the team lead in goals (16) and points (29) for the Charlotte Checkers. He also leads the team in penalty minutes (58) and power play goals (6). Over his last 11 games, Steeves has recorded 13 points, including seven goals and six assists.
Jack Devine is another standout player for Charlotte and will also represent the team at the AHL All-Star Classic. In his rookie year, Devine ranks third on the Checkers for goals (12), leads in assists (17), and is tied with Steeves for total points (29). Among all AHL rookies, he ranks among the top eight in goals, assists, and points.
Florida Panthers head coach Paul Maurice commented on Devine’s performance earlier this season: “He’s very bright. He reads the game exceptional. Also, good hands, competitive, quiet.”
Other notable performances include Wilmer Skoog’s 28 points over 42 games for Charlotte and Gracyn Sawchyn’s contribution of 19 points through 29 games. Goaltender Cooper Black has played 26 games with a .900 save percentage and a goals-against average of 2.54.
In other leagues, Shea Busch has scored 13 goals in just 12 games with Everett Silvertips in the CHL. Tyler Muszelik posted a .930 save percentage over 22 games with University of Connecticut.
European prospects like Arvid Drott are also making an impact; Drott has tallied 23 points across 23 games with Djurgårdens IF U20.
The Panthers continue to monitor these prospects’ development as they progress through various leagues worldwide.
