Library Presents Free 35th Annual Conference on Children’s Literature

“Find Your Voice” is 2022 conference theme

Parents, educators, librarians, storytellers, authors, illustrators and anyone interested in literacy for youth are invited to Broward County Library’s 35th Annual Conference on Children’s Literature. This free, daylong professional development opportunity will be held from 9AM to 5PM on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Main Library, 100 S Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, 954-357-7444.

Special guests for the 35th Annual Conference on Children’s Literature: “Find Your Voice” are bestselling, award-winning authors Jen Calonita, Christina Diaz Gonzalez, Antwan Eady, Nathan Hale, Kerry O’Malley Cerra, Karma Wilson and Sherri Winston. Participants will leave inspired and motivated to discover their voices and those of the writers and illustrators with whom they identify. 

There is no charge for attending the Conference, but preregistration is required. Books will be available for sale through Books & Books, the Conference on Children’s Literature book provider. A light lunch will be served. 

This program is presented through collaborations and partnerships with Broward County Library, Broward Reads: The Campaign for Grade-Level Reading and Miami Book Fair. The 2022 Conference on Children’s Literature is generously funded by the Broward Public Library Foundation and Children’s Services Council of Broward.
