The City of Lauderdale Lakes announced on April 15 that registration is open for its Youth Football and Cheer program, welcoming children ages 5 to 13 to participate in the upcoming season.
The program aims to provide a safe and structured environment where young athletes can develop skills, confidence, and teamwork. It offers opportunities in both football and cheerleading with coaching focused on skill-building and community engagement.
Registration takes place at Vincent Torres Memorial Park, located at 4331 NW 36th Street in Lauderdale Lakes. Sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Early registration is available for $85 until June 30. After that date, fees increase to $100 for residents and $135 for non-residents, with proof of residency required.
Participants will be grouped into divisions including Super Peewee through age thirteen (13U). The city says the program is designed to offer a memorable experience while fostering athletic growth among local youth.
As the new season approaches, city officials encourage families interested in youth sports or cheerleading to take advantage of early registration opportunities.
