The City of Lauderdale Lakes announced on Apr. 15 that it will host a Spring Food Giveaway in partnership with Farm Share, Inc. The event is scheduled for Friday, May 22, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Redeemer Lutheran Church located at 3500 W Oakland Park Blvd in Lauderdale Lakes.

The event aims to provide support to families in need by distributing fresh produce and pantry items free of charge. It is organized as a drive-thru distribution and will operate on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Vice Mayor Sharon Thomas and Commissioner Tycie Causwell are hosting the giveaway, which reflects the city’s ongoing commitment to community care and food security. Residents are encouraged to arrive early due to limited supplies.

Those seeking more information about the event can call 954-535-2700 or visit www.lauderdalelakes.org.

Farm Share, Inc., which is partnering with the city for this initiative, is described as an equal opportunity provider.
