Returning from a six-game road trip, the Florida Panthers lost 4-1 to the San Jose Sharks at Amerant Bank Arena on Monday. This was their only home game before heading back on the road for three more games.

The Panthers currently hold a 25-20-3 record, totaling 53 points. They are four points behind the Buffalo Sabres, who occupy the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference with 57 points.

“We have enough games to take care of our own business, but it’s got to start now,” Matthew Tkachuk said after Monday’s loss. “You don’t want to be chasing after the Olympic break and into the trade deadline. It’s too challenging. We got to get some points now. All these teams around us are going on runs. It’s up to us to do the same.”

The team is entering a crucial stretch ahead of the Olympic break, starting their upcoming road trip against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday at Canada Life Centre. The trip continues with back-to-back games against the Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks over the weekend.

Fans can watch Thursday’s game on WSFL, WHDT, WFTX, or PanthersPlus.TV and listen via several radio stations including 560 WQAM-AM and others throughout South Florida and online platforms like SiriusXM App & Streaming 931.

A watch party for Thursday’s game will be held at Duffy’s in Plantation, beginning half an hour before puck drop at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Matthew Tkachuk made his season debut against San Jose after being sidelined. He played nearly 21 minutes, took three shots, and drew two penalties during his return. Head coach Paul Maurice commented on Tkachuk’s performance: “I thought he was pretty good. His hand skills, he knocked some things down. I thought he was for the first game, and I ran him close to 18 (minutes).”

Other events highlighted include a sweepstakes for a Disney Cruise Line trip departing from Fort Lauderdale; special ticket packages such as Vamos Gatos Night with limited edition shirts; buy-one-get-one-free Territory Thursday food offers; single-game tickets for remaining home games; and streaming options through PanthersPlus.TV with a Half Season Pass available for $39.99.

The Panthers GameDay App offers users discounts during arena events along with news updates and partner offers.

Recent highlights also mention Brad Marchand in BMW Teammate of the Month content and other fan engagement features across social media platforms.

Florida recently agreed to terms with defenseman Uvis Balinskis on a two-year contract extension and received recognition during their visit to the White House for their successful season.
