FLL’s Winter Festival of Music Returns for 34th Year

The 34th Winter Festival of Music at Broward County’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) will run from December 5-9, 2022, from 9AM-Noon daily. FLL is excited again to partner with Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) on this annual holiday tradition, which will occur in select airport terminals and the Rental Car Center.

This year’s musical extravaganza will feature a variety of live performances by nearly 650 students from 14 Broward County elementary, middle, and high schools. The festival’s performance lineup includes bands, orchestras, choirs, carolers, and dancers. In addition, strolling carolers will entertain passengers with renditions of favorite holiday songs at pop-up sites post-security in Terminals 1 and 4 on select days.

“It is that wonderful time of the year again when FLL comes alive with the sounds of holiday music for guests and employees to enjoy as they move through the airport,” said Mark E. Gale, CEO/Director of Aviation. “It’s a great opportunity to spotlight the musical talents of local students while providing the airport community with some live holiday cheer.”

The airport’s Winter Festival of Music celebrates and supports local student musicians while helping to make travel less stressful and enjoyable during the busy holiday season. During the performances, travelers typically stop to engage with the students and take photos as mementos to share on social media.
