The City of Lauderhill & Mayor Ken Thurston Present a Community Forum on Homeowner’s Insurance on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Lauderhill City Hall (5581 West Oakland Park Boulevard, Lauderhill, FL 33313).

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Breaking It Down – Experts explain the significant changes in rules and requirements when applying for homeowner’s insurance and changes in laws/legislation in the industry that impact homeowners eligibility and costs.
  • Ways to Save – Cost saving measures you can take to help lower your premiums.
  • The Good, the Bad, the Ugly – Understanding the impact of filing claims and the consequences of using 3rd parties to file a claim on your behalf.
  • The Truth of the Matter – Learn how to avoid some of the common insurance frauds and scams hurting homeowners and hear from consumer protection experts from the county and state about how they can help victims of fraud or help in resolving a consumer dispute with a business.
